“This is an important lesson to remember when you’re having a bad day, a bad month, or a shitty year: Things will change. You won’t feel this way forever. And anyway, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your soul needs the most. I believe you can’t feel real joy unless you’ve felt heartache. You can’t have a sense of victory unless you know what it means to fail. You can’t know what it’s like to feel holy until you know what it’s like to feel really fucking evil, and you can’t be birthed again until you’ve died.”

I have a matching tattoo with my ex in each other’s handwriting. I suggest not doing it but at the same time do whatever you want! Like yeah I’d love to go back in time and say no to doing it, but it’s a huge chapter of my life. It tells a story and it’s really not a big deal. I forget I even have it until it’s pointed out.
My advice though is to remember a time where you had an outfit that was your absolute favorite outfit. And then three years later looking back at pictures, you asked yourself why you liked that outfit so much bc it looks so ugly to you now. That’s how a tattoo can be. It’s a huge commitment that you need to be sure you’ll always love.
